If we want to be united in Christ we need to be all pointed in the same direction and we cannot allow the small stuff to fracture that unity.

Then of course we also need to be reminded, most every thing really is small stuff.

Oh, don’t misunderstand, I am usually the first to be offended or have my feelings bruised by over reacting to something.   But we need to rely upon our faith to help us let those feelings go.

The older I get, the more I realize how much I don’t know.  As I hit one of those milestone birthdays this past week, I was reminded again that I have so much more to learn.

I remember a time when I said my emotions were just how God made me, and if people didn’t like that, too bad.

Well I have to finally understand, that my emotions are very often prompted by feelings that are not God breathed.

I am now of an age when I also realize people don’t have to agree on everything, but, as Wesley said, I think we can find we don’t compromise on the essentials of faith.
